Matlock Cycling Club - Time Trials

Matlock CC Time Trials

Hello, and welcome to Matlock Cycling Clubs time trial results. Thanks to Phil Cushway and all the other time keepers, and Chris Mottram for collating all the results and calculating the points before sending them onto me.

This site gives details of courses, events, results, as well as individual riders 'portfolios' for the season, and holds 15388 race results since 2007

New from the 2010 season:

My TT - This section allows you to record non Matlock CC time trial results and automates the filling in of CTT entry forms.

Handicap results - Just for fun. Applies to the A10/16 (club and open), Ashford and A25/12 courses. Your handicap for a race is based on your best time since January 1st of the previous year. If you have no previous time then your handicap is zero. This handicap time is then taken off your actual time and the results ranked. The handicap system is retrospective, so you can look back at races from 2008 onwards as well.

New from the 2012 season:

Ladies competition - As part of the club's development plan objective to encourage women's participation in cycling were are running a ladies competition.
It uses club Tuesday evening 10 mile time trials (ie not Grouse 10) and the Ashford 5 mile time trials
Points gained in a maximum of five 10 mile and three 5 mile time trials - ie best point scores
Minimum of 10 points for the winner, then 9, 8 etc. More than 10 riders then the winner gets the same number of points as riders eg 15 ladies ride then winner gets 15 points etc.

New from the 2014 season:

Vets on Standard - as suggested by Eric, 10, 25 and 50 mile time trials will have a 'Vets on Standard' result.
These are based on the VTTA's Standard tables for veterans (riders 40+ years old), and have been designed to level the playing field with regards to age.
In order for appear on the results, you'll need to be 40 or over and I'll need your date of birth. You can either just let me know, or register for MyTT and start to fill in a CTT entry form. Enter at least your date of birth and salutation and check the 'Save this information for next time' box before clicking the 'Next step >>' button.

New for the 2023 season:

Road works at Holloway means that the usual hilly course cannot be used this year. A new course has been proposed: 2023 Hilly Course
Road works on the A6 means that the 25 mile and 50 mile courses cannot be run.
It is proposed that:
The 25 mile championship will be comprised of a rider's best two club 10 mile times plus their best 5 mile (Ashford) time.
The 50 mile championship will be comprised of a rider's best five club 10 mile times.
It also adds the possibility of a 100 mile championship, which will be comprised of a rider's best ten club 10 mile times.
